In 2008 I was refered to a company called loanmodificationfirm.com Fee was 1250 and they would negotiate modification of my mortgage. The fee was 1259 and was paid, they did nothing to help, mortgage company stated they had never been contacted. The house was sold in a short sale as had been damaged in multiple rain storms and due to economy and damage could not be refinanced. I was diagnosed with cancer so after house lost could not follow up. I have recently emailed them but again no response, I understand the house gone but as they did nothing and were paid 1250. I feel that should be returned, as I possibly could have had it done had I known before it was too late Thank you if you can help
