Not only do the Lobel representatives go into great detail about the supposed wayward "client" and related payment history with people unrelated to the "client" or the debt, they refuse to quit calling. Keep in mind that none of us cosigned for this car loan, nor did we give permission or references for this individual to do so.
I have taken messages to satisfy Lobel Financial only to find out that the names are fake...the extensions aren't valid either. Try calling back the numbers that they give you or worse yet....ask for a supervisor, you get transfered to a half a dozen other numbers that include the janitor's closet!
I have spoken to Belinda, Sandra, Irene, and Howard (half of which are bogus names). Lobel Financial has called from, 714 229-3741, 714 229-3744, 714 995-3333, and through a bogus company identified as Insurance Services, 719 457-3992.
The biggest complaint is that not only will Lobel NOT stop calling, if you hang up on them... they call right back... just to inform you that the calls will continue. One Lobel representative actually claimed that nothing will stop the calls... according to her... they get sued all the time!
I've been accused of "harboring" a car that was scheduled for repossession, aiding in criminal acts of fraud.... none of which was true. My suggestion to Lobel Financial would be that if you can't keep track of your "clients", why should I? Not only was the payment history false for the "client" that Lobel wanted so bad but they actually repossessed the vehicle in question... only to charge the "client" impound and towing fees... none of the fees were relative to missing or late car payments.... because there weren't any!
All these tacts were so unwarranted, one late car payment does not constitute fraud or repossession. Since the pen is mightier than the sword.... Lobel Financial.... you've done called my house once too many times! Besides haven't you Lobel folks heard of caller ID?

New Year...New Chapter in Lobel Rip-Off

And the following day I receive 4 more calls and go through the whole thing all over again. My elderly father in another state that has no knowledge of the transaction between Lobel and the individual that they are trying to reach...has been contacted as well. How did they get all these phone numbers...well it's only one of two ways: Dumpster diving-I doubt or hacking into people's phone records (land line and cell). That alone is illegal. I'm no prophet but trust me...keep your records folks because one day there is going to be a class action lawsuit against Lobel and each one of you is going to need to prove that you were a victim to get a refund. Final note: I've seen the letter from Lobel thanking the individual that they are trying to reach for the final payoff and a reminder that the title to the vehicle should be received shortly and guess what...it was! I saw that too. What Lobel is doing cannot be considered legal financing...extortion and racketeering is a more accurate definition!
