I needed a new ISP,so i looked in the phone book and found LocalNet.They told me i had to have a home phone,which i did not at the time,so they told me since i was disabled that there was a Company called DPI,that helped people on Goverment asst. get phones.And told me not to tell them i was going to use it for internet also.so stupid me call DPI (will have a report about them on here also)DPI said i could get a phone and it would be 31.14 a month tax included.So 7 days later i had phone service.Then i called localNet,told them i had my phone,they asked for my #,i gave it to them,and they told me to go to there site,that i had to have a 56k modem(i had to buy long time since i had one of them)Localnet said my bill would be 9.95 a month,unless i wanted 3 times faster,then it would be 13.95,i had to put down a 25.95 up front fee incase i decide i did not want them so they would have atleast 2 months payment for services.The service was nasty,so slow.I had to give them my debit card # to get the 29.95.Nothing was said about them taking it out of my account each month.They would bill me.Well i got my bank notice,they had billed me ok,and i had 3 over draft fees becuase of it.Now i have gotten a little smart with Companys wanting my card #,so when they say they are recording me,i tell them i am recording them also for my protection.so i have it all on tape.When i called tehm to cancell,they told me they would be taking my payment out of my bank acct.I told them i did not give them permission to do that.they said thats how they work.I told her she could take the 29.95 that i gave them the month before to pay what i owed them,and send me back a refund of what was left.At that time she told me that i would not get a refund,that was there instalation fee,no one came to my home and installed anything.I told her that,she informed me again that my card would be charged,at witch time i told her it would not because i had already called me bank.At this time she informed me they would come after me.I said come on.Told her to disconnect me,2 hours later i was disconnected.Do not try this company.She also informed me to shut my recorder off,i said i am,we are finished,and tolded her to have a blessed day.

The service was slow because it's dial-up. Were you expecting fiberoptic speed for $10 a month? I have to listen to people like you complain all day because you signed up for something you put no research in. You wouldn't expect a $400 car to run as good as a $60,000 cadillac would you? Actually, you probably would from the looks of this report. And I really can't believe the part about the debit card. LOL! Everything's done on a reoccuring basis, meaning that when you sign up, you're giving us permission to withdrawl your monthly payment on a certain date each month based on your billing cycle. Just so you know, at the end of each sale we say "All our company asks is that you go to our website, once you're online and running and read over OUR SERVICE AGREEMENT AND ACCEPTABLE USE POLICY." If you say ok then you're agreeing to our terms which mean you're allowing us to withdrawl payment every month. Now, if you would of asked what the terms our WE ARE REQUIRED TO READ THE SERVICE AGREEMENT TO YOU! I swear this world is a lost cause. Every one now a days thinks because things don't go their way that it's a scam or fraud. But coming from the person who's getting government assistance, that means nothing. And you're only screwing yourself over by recording the call. You're doubling your chances of people hearing how stupid you are. HAVE A BLESSED DAY. #useyourhead
