in the military I commend him for his service.
Lockhart, Morris & Montgomery is a consumer collection agency that collects debt on behalf of its clients. The clients sign contracts to place accounts with the agency to be collected on. The consumers that are placed in our office have always defaulted on a contract. This is when a payment has not been made on a contract in which the debtor promised to do by signing the contract. The clients range from educational, medical, security and lending institutions. One client in particular was a financial institution that catered to military personal based on job stability and an assumption of sound moral
characteristics, hence the uniform they wear and represent. This financial institution provided merchandise to active military personal. The military personal who defaulted on their contracts were the ones that were assigned to our office. The files included signed contracts along with personal information as well as references that the consumer listed in the contract. Concerning credit reporting and information being placed into credit files, this only happens after the accounts have been placed with our office when they have been deemed uncollectable by the financing institutions that extended lines of
credit in good faith that they would receive payment in exchange for the merchandise. In reality when you take something from a store or any other entity and do not pay for it usually is considered stealing. Instead of the vendor filing criminal charges for stealing, they simply employ our services in an effort to recover the financial compensation due our clients per the
merchandise that the consumer now has in their possession. The finance companies have no interest in the merchandise they simply paid for the merchandise when the consumer could not.
Our company is insured, bonded and incorporated. The Secretary of the State of Texas has us listed in good standing and shows that we have been incorporated since June 2004. Our company wouldnt be of value to anyone if loans were paid for instead of being defaulted on. I find it interesting that the gentleman brings up felons because the Government that he currently serves has special programs and grants that allow felons to open up businesses. Fortunately those resources
were not needed by our company. Lockhart, Morris & Montgomery is open for business and provides individuals with jobs, medical and dental insurance so that the families can take care of their healthcare needs and gives those people the
ability to financially support their children and families.
