They call knowing a lot about your credit situation, who you owe money to.. how much you have left on your credit lines, they don't say who they are other than customer service. At the end of a convincing pitch which sounds so very legitimate, they claim to be able to lower your interest rates based on your great credit rating, and how well you pay your bills.. then say the charge is 999.... not NINE HUNDRED NINETY NINE but 999... later you find out its a grand... then they call your credit card companies with you on the line, where they learn even more about you.. eventually, they can't help you without your ssn. At that point, I told them to do things to themselve's not physically possible, but perhaps interesting to watch. I have now had to cancel all credit cards because they know too much about me.. and issue fraud alerts on all the credit bureaus. Expect as the process continues more and more high pressure to give up your ssn... these guys feel sleezy, and I think I probably narrowly escaped having the credit rating I worked so hard for ruined. If you deal with them.. don't just cancel and re-issue your cards - call the credit bureaus to make sure you are notified anytime someone attempts to open new credit in your name. It is remotely possible these guys are legit.. real remote.. but I really don't think so. Stay Away... beware.
