London Brokers is a scam! London Brokers is a content mill that is run by unscrupulous individuals who prey on new and  hopeful freelance writers. They make new writers go through a bunch of tests and write many "sample" article for which they are not compensated.

The pay is far, far below what United States based content mills pay their writers such as $2 for 300 words. That is not even a penny a word!

They drag new writers around, making them submit numerous articles and take "tests" then lock their accounts, often without paying them for the work they have done.

I signed up for them but NEVER wrote for them because their pay was too low and, quite frankly, I can get paid 3 and 4 and even 10 times that on other sites.

Recently, I began receiving emails from London Brokers so I tried logging on to deactivate my account because I don't want their spam. However, my account (the account I had never used) was blocked. When I contacted "support" to get my information so I could log on and deactivate my account, I was told that my account had been blocked "by an editor."

When I pressed for more information I was sent an email containing this (along with a nasty, snarky comment):

Editorial review:
14-OCT-2010: Thank you for trying AMS. AMS has strict standards for the quality of articles that are accepted. You did not read any of the materials or watch any of the videos on what AMS guidelines are. The grammar errors, sentence structure, word usage and punctuation errors indicate that you will not be a good match for the needs of AMS. Good luck in your future endeavors.

Regards,
Dayn

Now, that is very interesting, considering I had never written for this outfit. But what I found even more interesting is that if you Google this exact statement, it is posted all over the internet! Good, solid writers are receiving this same bogus statement and they are not getting paid for the work that they do!!!

Fortunately, I never was desperate enough to write for them. I write for several good, reputable sites that are nothing like London Brokers.

If you want to write, steer clear of this London Brokers scam! Go with a reputable company such as Content Authority or Text Brokers. They pay fairly well when you get a higher rating, but at least you will get paid and their support services are professional.

London Brokers is a scam. They are unprofessional and take advantage of new writers. Don't waste your time and talent on this unscrupulous, unethical outfit. London Brokers is unethical. London Brokers takes advantage of writers. London Brokers is bad for writers, especially for those who want to break into the business.

I have done some research on the London Brokers scam. On forums where people were telling the truth about the London Brokers scam (saying it was a scam, or anything negative), London Brokers would reply and rebut with an often whiny propaganda laden load of nonsense. It is straight off a PR script. I don't think they have one original thought among them. Everything is a form letter or blanket statement, never anything original.

It will be interesting to see their response here. I am sure that soon we will see their whiny, cookie cutter rebuttals.

But don't take my word for it, research them yourself. Look at the pay rates. that is enough right there to stop you in your tracks. No self respecting writer would ever subject himself to this London Brokers shady operation.

And in case you didn't hear me, London Brokers is a scam! Run far, far away from them!

If you are looking for content to be written, there are many more professional content mills and freelance sites that are ethical and treat their writers with respect. But if you are only out to get a cheap article, well, remember this: you get what you pay for.

Stop supporting London Brokers which is the equivalent of a writing sweat shop. Support reputable businesses because if London Brokers is scamming their writers, it is only a matter of time before they will be scamming you.

It's the right of every company to choose the right people and let others go. If you don't want to comply with our terms or can't meet our standards then fine. We don't have to accept everybody who comes along.

fairness

From my experiences, LondonBrokers is NOT a scam.  I did a small amount of work for them a couple of years ago, and there were no problems at all.  Although the pay rate was extremely low, the work I did was accepted and I was paid on time.

As I needed to focus my time on higher-paying companies, the second articles I wrote for them didn't reach the payout requirement, but LondonBrokers paid me for them anyway.  I found them to be an honest, easy-to-deal with, company.

#4 UPDATE EX-employee responds

Also have been mistreated by London Brokers

AUTHOR: Shadowfae - ()

What the author of this report has said is exactly of what happened to me.  I had signed up with them a few months back where they had me write some "test articles".  At the time they were acceptable, but I did not get paid for these.  Now, I am not a "newbie" writer.  I have written for websites, have done promos and articles, and even had a stint doing astrology reports for a very popular online astrology site.  I was looking for some work to do on the side when things were slow.

I went inactive for a while because of illness but had my account re-activated a few days ago after getting an email from them that they had loads of work in and had fixed some "payment woes".  Payment woes sounded dodgy enough but regardless,  I logged in today and picked up an article.  Spent a couple of hours doing research and writing the requested 3 versions of the same article.  Submitted the articles and had them come back as rejected with a link to their "reviews rejections" guideline pages.  No real details regarding what they didn't like aside from a minor revision regarding keyword usage.  I revised the articles as per their guidelines and resent them.

As far as I knew, all was well, and if not, then they would let me know.  At least, this is how reputable companies in the same business do things.  But not these people!  I later went to login and found my account had been disabled.  When I tried to find out why, i got a vague support reply that simply said "Your account was disabled as advise from the editor.  Thank you for trying AMS."

Hang on a minute..."thanks for trying"??  What was going off here?  I replied to the support email and never got a response.  So I got online to use their Live Support function.  They were even more  callous!  They seemed very reluctant to give me details as to why my account was disabled and what they meant by "thanks for trying AMS

The context of the conversation was as follows (leaving names out for legal purposes)When I asked why my account had been disabled and what I had done, I got a the reply "editorial review.  The instructions for revision were ignored. ACCOUNT IS DISABLED.  Read and apply the instructions at http://www.londonbrokers.net/reviews-rejections/.  Note the keyword density and placement instructions, particularly.

So I explained that I had done this and had not ignored the requested revisions at all.  I even had the original and revised edits as proof.  So I asked if someone could help me understand what it was exactly that i had not done.

All I got was a very cold "I'm sorry but the decision is final"

So I asked "Final? As in I can no longer work for the company?"  To which they replied "Thank you for trying AMS"I replied "I'd like an answer please"  to which they replied "

yes, that is final.  you can never work to AMS anymore"

I mean how is any of that fair?  They treated me with cold disdain and no respect at all.  Any of the companies I had worked for before would work with new writers and long time writers to get them started, go over any issues, etc.  These people just give you a bunch of links to read through as guidelines.  There is no support in the way of help for amateur writers.  What makes me laugh is on their "about us" page they claim "Our writers are our gold so we treat them well!" - yet I have since spoken to several, now ex, writers who have complained about how badly they were treated.  My advice - avoid this company!
