 We purchased a new air conditioning unit from Lonnie's and they installed the unit just over 2years ago. We have had to have evaporator coil replaced 3 times. The last time was the worse. We payed 5k for the unit to break every summer we have had it. My original unit lasted 10 years and then the evaporator coil went out, now this is the third o n a "new" unit. The first time it was installed wrong, the 2nd was the manufacture and the last time Lonnie's refused to even come out to our house. He asked us why we called on friday at 6. I told him i had just gotten out of work and got home. He said i couldn't pay him enough money to come out to our house and hung up on me. he said it was memorial weekend. He left me and my kids (one infant) to find a new company and pay 1k for another company to fix. The new company helped out and let us know there were some installation issues. The manufacture rheem was helpful in us finding a new reputable company to replace the piece and even reimbursed money for our problems because the original company would not repair the issue. The warranty for labor expired in 1 day and we didn't find that until dealing with manufacture and it looks like Lonnie's knew that so they didn't want to help. Also Lonnie said he would only talk to by husband. If i answered phone, he would only talk to my husband, who oddly was the most frustrated. I didn't think that was Lonnie on the phone, only to find out it was the actual owner. Service was terrible 3 evaporator coils in less than 3 years and refused to fix the issue. Lonnie's air conditioning in tampa would not repair their error and would not stand by their service.

There are two sides to a story, but the facts are this was a brand new a/c unit that has had the evaporator coil replaced three times in less than 3 years. when you spend thousands of dollars on an a/c unit, it shouldnt cause you more issues. lonnie's didnt want to fix thier issue that they created and that is how they worked funny they didnt say my wife was rude when they Cashed our check, but did when we complained about anouther issue with our unit.

Unable to calm the Customer.

We have been serving Tampa Bay for over 35 years. We have never in this time come across an individual that was so belligerent and verbally abusive as this Customer. Any problems that ever happened with her unit were always repaired properly and under any warranties that existed.

Upon the call being received, the customer demanded that a repairman come immediately and abusively complained about her unit without Lonnie being able to calm her or work it out. He could no longer accept the verbal abuse from her and attempted to only speak to her husband. Unfortunately, she continued the abuse in the background of the conversation and Lonnie's limit was reached. 

Our reputation had been 100% satisfactory for over 35 years without a single customer complaint that did not get resolved immediately until this customer. This problem could have been resolved also if the customer could have not been so rude and abusive. The customer thought she was just speaking to an employee, possibly had she known it was the owner, she may have been a little more respectful.

Nobody in any business should be treated like she treated Lonnie, regardless if they are the owner or just an employee.

We regret she had to spend the amount she did with another company for something that could have easily been rectified calmly and respectfully and at no charge just as previous repairs were even though it was out of warranty.
