Lord and Taylor Fake Sales, Internet
I purchased a Movado watch on black friday from the Lord and Taylor website. It was $99 off the original price. I was e-mailed that same day saying my order was cancelled. I called the customer service line and was told there was a mix up with my bank not having the right shipping address and to call my bank. Called my bank and they said everything was fine. I had also ordered at least 6 other things from other websites that day and not had any problems.
I called back and spoke to a different rep who informed me that it could have been a "computer glitch" and she would have to escalate the order and someone would call me back within 24-48 hours. Well, Monday afternoon I still had not heard back from anyone so I called the customer service line again and was told that the glitch was fixed and they cancelled my order out and I could now re-order online. I asked the lady who I spoke with if she could order it for me since I was in the car and had no access to a computer.
She put me on hold and 15 mins later came back and told me that she couldn't find the watch. That it is sold out and not available anywhere. I asked her how a watch was available 2 days ago and now all of a sudden it was gone? She told me I should go to the different stores in my area and look for it, even though her computer was showing none were available. HORRIBLE customer service! I asked to speak with a manager and she told me one would call me back within 2 business days. I never received a call back and in fact I e-mailed them asking to speak with a manager and never got a call either.
I believe they owe me the difference in the cost of the sale price to the regular price or they should give me a similar watch at that sale price. With it being Black Friday I missed out on other deals on the same watch because I thought I was going with a reputable company...stupid me!
