They had papers and binders of detail as "credentials."
I thought it was most likely a scam but they were only asking for $20 so erred on the side of being compassionate and gave them the money.
I just did a search on Fairview Christian Congregation and this site came up.
Thought I would share that 4 years later they are still seeking funds for the same typhoon and now using the services of children for the pitch.
If I get the cake I will report back and let you know how it was. Hopefully I am wrong.
