lol... perfect Jimbo, perfect...
I see no one actually has anything to say in regard to the context of the post and what
originally brought them here to make false assumptions. Still trying to figure
out if you're just a troll of too stubborn to admit when you're wrong. It's
like arguing against someone how says, "It's wrong to shoot someone for no
reason" and replying, "well it was your discussion to go outside
where you put yourself at risk for crime", or "well, I think people
that get shot are generally into trouble, so you must have done something
wrong". Reaallly? the lameness just continues...

Great, now that we got that cleared up, lets discuss what you missed. The post is about a business practice that seems shady, is in the least poor customer service, and yes, their ethics are more than called in to question as well...
Say 20 years ago one of the largest hardware chains decided not to except MAIL and required it to be hand-delivered to the store to make it more inconvenient and thus get more money. This company expects other pail, but just won't let you send in payments that way, and no one in the company even makes an attempt to explain why this is when questioned. As said, It's common practice now and all the information needed is already given by the customer and they do have the capability. With what is already set up it would take a web designer no time at all to create that option. There is no technical hindrance, it's purely a choice. It is known that autopay decreases missed and late payments. What would any company want this? To collect fees.

You are showing your irresponsibility

As a comment, you are setting yourself up for failure. You indicate that it is too much trouble to check on your accounts regularly and you prefer to set up the payment automatically. This is a recipe for failure. Even automatic systems need to be checked regularly. Checking each account monthly is the prudent thing to do. No one is so busy that they don't have time to check their own accounts at least once per month.
