Lunarpages has some of the worst customer support in the web hosting industry. 
I must warn against using their services, there are other companies out there with superior service and cheaper costs such as www.bluehost.com.

I have been a customer of Lunarpages for many years, using a https certificate for my web business.  They had sent the notification that the certificate needs to be renewed to the wrong email. Hence I was not aware. They never called me at any point in time. 

When I saw the email and submitted my credit card for payment of the renewal. I had been told, I had to wait for an undetermined amount of time until the certificate can be installed. In the meantime, every customer of my website had to see a browser error stating: "beware, certificate had expired .....". Of course most customers would not proceed and stop buying. So my business just stopped. 

When I sent another email to support@lunarpages. com, I was told that my support ticket to get the certificate replaced goes back to the beginning of the queue ! In other words, Lunarpages would penalize any attempt to communicate to support !

When you call the technical support number at lunarpages, you have to wait for a long time, seems like hours. Then a call center answered, stating that they do not know when the certificate will be installed ! When I asked to speak with a supervisor, I was told that there is no supervisor ! So I asked to be called back by someone higher up.

Then someone called me back. He said that he is the liaison with the https certificate provider. There is nothing he could do, he said, my ticket is going to wait for 100s others who are in the queue. Apparently, since October 2012, Lunarpages had not been able to renew https certificate !!

When I asked, what if I want to buy my own certificate else where. Lunarpages person said that I cannot. Because I have to wait for a CSR from Lunarpages. This CSR will come when all the 100s others are served. So at an undetermined time !

With another solution provider the certificate could have been done in minutes 

With lunarpages, there is no solution, no way out, just wait until you get the mercy of the lunarpages person to install it. When ? Nobody knows. Hopefully in a matter of days, but no commitment whatsoever. What kind of business is this ?

I'm a customer of Lunar Pages.  At the moment I am not overjoyed with them for a variety of reasons. That said, I have always gotten prompt responses to website issues, if not prompt resolution.  Of course, I am on a dedicated server and have chat support.  You have to get real about your expectations.  There is a big difference between spending $6.95 a month and several hundred $$ a month, including premium support.
