I had been competitively shopping for a Camry XLE with Leather, Convenience Package, and Entune w/Navigation.  I finally narrowed now my "best price" and wrote an email verifying "my costs" and indicating that I would be driving quite far so I wanted to make sure we were on the same page.  I was assured by the manager that the price would be honored until end of day on Sunday due to a "Black Friday" sale.

When I arrived I was told that the price I was quoted included a $1,000 military incentive credit + $500 recent grad credit - neither of which I qualified for.  I asked why they didn't bring those up during the negotiating phase and neither the salesman or the manager had any answer for that other to say that they couldn't sell at that price without the incentives from Toyota.

I then gave them a chance "to make it right" by coming in cheaper than my "lowest price" from other dealerships.  They asked if they were $100 cheaper would I buy, and I said no it had to be $300 less to compensate for the bad behavior on their part for being deceptive.  I then pulled up the other price so they could see there was a legitimate price offered.

They then came back with a price $700 MORE than the lowest price.  The nerve!  

I of course walked.  They actually are losing two sales as I was also in the market for my daughter (whom I brought with me) for a Corolla purchase as well.
