I have been a Majicjack(MJ) customer for over 5 years. Early this year (January, 2013) I decided to upgrade to their new device that does not have to be connected to a computer. When I received the new device I transferred my old number to the new device and paid money for international calls, which I never used.
I have not used the old device since i received the new one and I only connected the new device a few days ago (August, 2013)). When I logged into my account, I did not see the credit international calls. I contacted MJ (via the only crappy consumer service they have online chat) and enquired about my credit for international calls. I was told that it had been applied to my old device, which was inactive for more than six months and therefore I had forfeited my money. I was then given a link to the policy.
Policy or not this practice is wrong. I am still a customer and all I wanted to do was upgrade my device and continue service. With practices like this I hope the company falls on its face. There are to may other options for this type of service for me to continue to support it. they are not getting another dime of my hard earned money.
