MARK T. MONTGOMERY, CMCA, AMS, PCAM "THIEF" NASTY AND DISHONEST HOA MANAGER AVOID AT ALL COST! Internet
MARK T. MONTGOMERY is VERY difficult to deal person. Mark Montgomery likes to portrays himself as honest CAI trained manager, while the facts are 100% to the contrary. Mark Montgomery is totally dishonest manager who puts his own interest way above the interest of the employer. He LIES and STEALS form homeowners and should strictly be avoided by every prudent homeowner Association in the State of California.
On January 29, 2009 Mark T. Montgomery, was caught stealing from Cross Creek Village HOA substantial amount of money by writing himself sizable checks with no right to do so. Because Mark Montgomery became the THREAT TO THE COMMUNITY, Mark T Montgomery was escorted by a Security officer out of the complex, right after being FIRED by the Cross Creek Village HOA Board of Directors. Mark Montgomery refused to return HOA money. Mark T. Montgomery refused to even return HOA keys and caused further damage to Association when the Association that just Fired Mark had to rekey the locks for safety reasons.
Prior to being booted, Mark Montgomery worked only seven months at Cross Creek Village HOA as an onsite manager, in Playa Del Rey, CA. He obtained that job using Adrian J Adams, Esq profit motivated recommendation and many deceptive inputs in his resume. Adrian J Adams, Esq was a former onsite manager who turned lawyer arguably for economical purposes. Because he is perceived as highly unethical, many Association avoid Adrain J Adams due to his practice of suing client HOA (see Adrian Adams vs. Villa Riviera) and taking advantage of the Association Board Members by purposely steering trouble to cause profitable lawsuits. Adrian Adams was Cross Creek Village counsel but he was also fired due the above described problem.
MARK T. MONTGOMERY LIED IN HIS RESUME AND HARASSED RESIDENTS: Numerous inconsistencies was discovered in Marks resume after he was hired and after numerous complaints begun purring against this obnoxious man for his rude, abusive, and harassing treatment of homeowners by Cross Creek Village HOA members and vendors.
Election tempering: In June of 2009 Mark tempered with Cross Creek Village HOA election with attempt to preclude a Board member he did not like from taking his Board seat. Mark Montgomery did that because the member informed Mark that HOA will not tolerate kickback schemes, which Mark Montgomery was beginning to put together. Marks tempering with Election caused the lawsuit which cost the association over $30,000. To make things worst Mark Montgomery was caught lying in his declaration signed under penalty of perjury, which caused HOA embarrassment, disrepute, and unnecessary complications.
GROSS INCOMPETENCE: As a manager, Mark Montgomery lacks proper training and sufficient knowledge and can fairly and accurately be described as INCOMPETENT. His designation such as CMCA, AMS, PCAM are not the result of any formal education but the mere attendance of several short courses organized by controversial industry lobbyists known as CAI (Community Association Institute).
During his several months of employment before firing, Mark Montgomery did not perform even nearly as expected, especially when it came to overseeing required aspects of building management such as overseeing employees or keeping accurate, up to date records of income and expenditure.
On top of many other lies, David McGrath, the Board Member, caught Mark Montgomery lying about very serious matter concerning Association safety and security. He also caught Mark lying about being at a Veterans Hospital when he ought to be at his desk working for the Association. Mark falt out lied about that and many other things on a daily bases, which leaves the impression that he is not just a liar but likely the compulsive liar worth avoiding at all cost.
Add to the above the fact that Mark constantly tried to bring in several of his vendors he was deeply affiliated with by submitting their inflated, over the market prices and portraying them as reasonable, and you will know why any prudent HOA should avoid the hustle, legal cost and embarrassment that comes with employing Mark T. Montgomery.
The background investigation Cross Creek Village Board of Directors conducted (unfortunately after making mistake to hire Mark) reviled that before coming to Cross Creek Village, Mark T. Montgomery worked at Marina Pacifica HOA in Long Beach, CA, where he again could not complete his first year contract due to numerous troubles he caused at their community. At Marina Pacifica, Mark also performed rather purely, and he maliciously harassed a female Hispanic employee who was a single mother. Mark abruptly quit his job when the Hispanic employee gave notice of intention to sue the Association due to Marks harassment.
Help your community by AVOIDING Mark T. Montgomery; this rude and nasty HOA manager haps from one HOA to another all over California for a reason. Dont allow yours and your community to become THE NEXT MARK'S VICTIM.
