Unfortunately, during the 2nd season the Blower-Fan blew-up, ejecting plastic sharpnel and created considerably noise/vibration, whereby I had to hurridly turn it off, lest it self-destruct...
I'd contacted MAYTAG for Warranty Repair, who then indicated they sold their Name to the Fedders Corporation, who was responsible for my Dehumdifier, and that any Warranty Claims had to be submitted to them.
I tried for over a Month to get assistance from Fedders, and all I found out was that my Dehumidifier was made in China, and Fedders was in Chapter 11, whereby no-one from Fedders nor MAYTAG could service my Dehumidifier!
When I tried to source a blower-fan locally, I contacted 5 different repair shops, none of the five carried any parts for MAYTAG/Fedders, while 2 of the 5 stated they once worked with Fedders, but stated "they wouldn't ever do so again", that Fedders was a "horrible company to deal with".
After 5 weeks of trying to get a response from Fedders, I complained to MAYTAG, and they indicated there wasn't anything they would do either...
So, when you buy a Dehumdifier, my recommendation is to stay-away from the MAYTAG/Fedders brands, unless you desire to have a pile of junk that can't be serviced, as these companies don't stand behind their products, and their only desire is you hard-eared cash!
