I activated 2 phones in Dec. 00, as of March 01 I had not received one bill, this puzzled me so I call to inquiry why I had not recieved a bill, the reply from the worldcom associate was there billing was backed up several months. I responded to know you are going to send me a big bill, reply was oh no! You will recieve a bill every month containing the amount you used that billing cycle.
The first bill I recevied was from Dec 00 to Jan 01, the bills were what I expected them to be. The next bill I recieved was a bill from hell, over $400.00 dollars, I called and inquired about the phone bill, reply that is the amount you owe so I paid it. The next few weeks my phones was stolen, I called worldcom to cut this phone off, and after pondering the big bill decided to cut the other one off also.
I really didn't feel comfortable with there unreliable billing and service. Thinking this was the end of worldcom, I was wrong as of today Nov 15, 02. I received a call the morning from a collection agency stating the received a deliquent bill that has not been paid and would like arrangements to get this bill paid I replied what bill? A overdue cell phone bill in the amount of $1700.00! I gasped I told them I cut my phones off over a year and a half ago. (Nov15, 02 8:05am)
They recommeded I call worldcom wireless and I did. After 25 minutes on hold I decided to hang up and try again later. The phone rings again around 8:40a.m. I recieve another call from an associate of the same bill collection agency stating I have an overdue cell phone bill from worldcom again, I let the gentleman know over the phone I just recieved a call from another associate from the same office no more than 30 minutes ago about the bill, he ask me a couple of questions and lets me know the balance is get this $4500.00 hundred dollars! d**n mad cannot even describe the feeling.
I hung up from this associate and called worldcom wireless. Sitting on the phone for more than 25 minutes a associate finally answers rep name (Monica 1031) answers, I tell him my problem after listening he pulls of my account, he tells me the only call I made was to activate the phones in Dec. 00, states they only recieved one payment and I did not respond to any other bills, what bills?
He also states the last called made from the phone was in Aug 01, I ask him since there was only phone payment made why the phones were not deactivated? His reply basically states he doesn't know why, the phones were finally deactivated in Dec. 01. Does that make since to anyone reading this why keep a phone on for an entire year and only one payment is made. No record of me calling inquiring about the bill, no record of me requesting the phones be deactiveted.
I also requested the representative email me all the so called bills, I go to open my email the worldcom, email are on the screen but, I push the buttons to open to view these emails and they will not open to view. I have read 10 emails from every one else as of 11:00 am today 11/15/02 but their emails won't even let me view them.
I emailed them back to enform them that there email would not let me view them, I have had 5 email errors stated the emails I sent to them were all failures. Failure is that not a word to use to describe the company. I am going to fight this all the way, I will not let worldcom wireless f-up my credit.
