Over a year ago after paying off a high phone bill, and having the matter cleared up MCI is now stating that they never received any funds. The collection agency that all Cashier check and money order payments were made to said that they sent in writing to the proper representatives that the bill was paid in full, but when I spoke to the unfriendly MCI rep she told me that they never received anything and that we have to pay them. Now our basic long distance calls are stopped even the ones in our phone area code and they keep giving us the run around to another Manager or Supervisor to handle my complaints, and what's frustrating is that all payment copies were faxed over numerous times to them within the last year and sometimes they tell us that their bank routing number does not match up with the one listed on the back of the check and other times they say tat the collection agency only sent part of the money. So they have like a lot of excuses that they lay on us but still our phone service is ridiculous.
To make matters worse is that our Ameritech usually is about $174 per month, the breakdown of the bill $15-$45 in calls and the balance is for their so-called money savings packages which totals $149 which includes taxes. What a rip-off!!!
