I called them several times and their excuse was they had trouble with the spelling of my city. Keep in mind, that I just got a bill in the mail for $19 and paid it. I called weekly about the voice mail not working. Customer service reps, if that is what you want to call them, were unprofessional, unhelpful and just plain ignorant. I finally received a bill two months later fro almost $200.
I called them immediately and they told me that I had to pay that or my service will be turned off. On 9/23, I requested that service be disconnected. As of this day 10/11/02, service is still on and I am being charged. No one has ever helped me when I called, I just got excuse after excuse.
I am not going to pay for what I did not use and I am taking them to court.

Call your local TV Station

They had recieved so many complaints about MCI Worldcom that they not only aired a special, but fast-tracked a lot of our problems through MCI Worldcom and got a lot of issues resolved for us without us having to spend hours on the phone. Even after the special was aired and I thought that my problem had been resolved, I recieved a collection notices for about half the original amount.
I called the news reporter again and have not heard from Worldcom in about 6 months. You might get further with that than calling Worldcom. Just a suggestion, as I don't know if your local news stations have that kind of news team, but all of the NY stations do.

You may also choose to write both the company and the store or kiosk that you are formally disputing this bill even though you actually have about 30 days to do such; which you stated you have attempted to do.
Another option is to go to the nonprofit site and print out the Consumer Legal Remedy Act Letter (CLRA). Send all written communications by return/receipt certified mail. Please Keep in mind that the store is one early termination fee and the service provided by the company is another separate fee. So, you must consider the contract length you signed.
