MGR Solutions Or MGR Today Charged me $449.00 for a packet to get government grant - the packet consisted of a questionaire that did not cost me anything to do online. Complied with guidelines in the packet to get a refund, but rep from MGR stated I could not receive my money back. I would like a total refund - this company is a HOAX! Ripoff Houston Texas

Something is off...
AUTHOR: Vince - (U.S.A.)
SUBMITTED: Friday, April 27, 2007
POSTED: Friday, April 27, 2007It's rather strange, but I've been told by their customer service staff for almost a year now that I was to be receiving a grant. However, just recently, I've been given a 90% approval rating, which rendered a call from a manager who sent me a PDF file which listed 15 agencies that have accepted my grant proposal.
Although, when I called each agency subsection, none of them had my name, or my file on record, and the SBA never accepts anything without a personalized application. That, and it seems like all the grant agencies that hey sent to me have never even heard of MGR Solutions. This is highly troublesome.
As of now, I'm questioning who is responsible for writing my grant proposal as well as which third-party firms they used to obtain the "approval" status that they claim so highly of. That being said, according to their managers, I'm currently 95% complete with recieving my grant funds. That, and I'm wondering how they can accomplish anything without sending us applications from each agency to fill out so they (the staff of MGR Solutions) can revise them to recieve a higher status of approval.
I don't know if truth is the proper term; now it's their credibility that I've begun to question. In any case, I have another two months to see where MGR Solutions/MGR Today takes me. If I have positive results, I will report back with what I have found out.

POSTED: Sunday, January 21, 2007I have to wonder if this ex-employee realizes that posting on a web site that he/she "lifted" paperwork from a company is illegal? I've worked for a large corporation for years now, and I would have been fired for taking so much as a reciept. Although your intentions to ship this confidential information may be good, (to keep people from getting scammed)it is, undeniably, illegal and therefor, shouldn't be advertised.
As far as the $449 fee, that's actually a steal. There are many many many grant writing agencies who charge upwards of $2000 to write a proposal. You are paying for a service. Yes, you CAN do this yourself for free, but it would literally take you years. I have full confidence in the professionals I have come in contact with through MGR and have recommended this company to other people.

POSTED: Monday, December 11, 2006MGR is not a member of the BBB. Why would you be? BBB is an acronym for Better Business Bureau.................that leaves your company or whatever is out in the cold! Only legitimate companies qualify. I encourage you to view the reports on the BBB website about your company. It is definitely not something to write home about.

#14 UPDATE Employee
Applicants need to listen more carefully.
AUTHOR: Ethan - (U.S.A.)
SUBMITTED: Tuesday, December 05, 2006
POSTED: Tuesday, December 05, 2006It was carefully explained that we are a 3rd party organization who takes the responsibility of writing up your grant preposal and the legal paperwork, that it takes to attain approval from the grant agencies that we apply to for you. I also told you that upon 3 letters of denial from the 3 agencies, you would recieve your payment back to your attention the way you sent it. This was all stated in the legally binding documents that you, "carefully read", then signed and sent back. I even left you my direct number in the office, that you had contacted me at before, in case of a situation like this.
To anybody else that reads this report and rebuttal, refer yourselves to the BETTER-BUSINESS-BUREAU, webbsite. Also be educated enough to read the standards of attaining a satisfactory listing. You must be listed for at least a year to get a satisfactory rating. On top of that, we are only in the midst of registering with the BBB. If you are willing to refer yourselves to our listing there you will see we've only been listed since last march, therefore explaining the un-staisfactory rating. Also notice how all complaints have been resolved. Better than half of the co's listed can say.
At this time I would like to state that if you are going to apply for a grant online, but, don't want to pay for the neccessary procedures, then refer yourselves to the svc's of the professional grant underwriters and legal firms in the yellow pages. I guarrantee that they don't offer a 100% refund, since they charge by the hour. By the way, 3 of the resolved complaints were people who had to wait a little too long for re-emboursement for their own compfort, however they were finally resolved.
Thank-you,
ETHAN BLAKE-Consultant.
