I HAVE A MANUFACTURED HOME IN LAMPLIGHTER VILLAGE IN SPRING VALLEY CA. UPON PURCHASING THE THEN NEW HOME I WAS TOLD THAT THE RENT WAS MONTH TO MONTH WITH A MAX INCREASE OF 3% A YEAR . THIS WAS IN 2002.MY INCREASE HAS BEEN 50% IN 3 1/2 YEARS ... THATS $304.00 A MONTH MORE THAN I WAS TOLD.
THE RENT WAS AS FOLLOWS:
AUG 02 $616.00
NOV 02 $683.00
NOV 03 $700.00 (CLASS ACTION LAW SUIT STARTED)
NOV 04 $900.00 (LOST CLASS ACTION LAW SUIT)
OCT 05 $920.00
AUG 05 HOUSE FOR SALE.

MY BASE RENT STARTED AT $616.00 AT TIME OF MOVE IN.THREE MONTHS LATER I RECIEVED A LETTER NOTIFYING ME OF A INCREASE IN RENT. THIS BROUGHT IT UP TO $685.00. OVER THE YEARS OF RENT INCREASES ALONG WITH A CLASS ACTION LAW SUIT THAT SEEMS TO FAIL EVERY TIME IT GOES TO COURT,MY RENT IS NOW AT $920.00 THAT IS BASE RENT ,NOT INCLUDING UTILITIES. WITH A MORTGAGE OF $750.00
I WAS BETTER OF RENTING IN A APARTMENT INSTEAD OF TRYING TO DO THE AMERICAN DREAM AND EVENTUALLY HAVE A HOUSE WITH PROPERTY.

AT THE TIME OF PURCHASE I THOUGHT I WAS DOING THE RIGHT THING. COME TO FIND OUT WHAT A MISTAKE IT WAS TO BUY IN LAMPLIGHTER VILLAGE. AS A RESULT OF RENTAL INCREASES I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO SELL MY HOME FOR ROUGHLY 6 MONTHS WITH PLENTY OF INTEREST IN THE HOUSE BUT NOT IN THE SPACE RENT.

MHC IS ALSO TRYING TO SELL HOMES IN THE PARK FOR 155,000.00 WITH AN INCETIVE TO PAY ONE YEARS RENT FOR FREE.. ALL THE HOMES ARE STILL FOR SALE.

ABOUT TEN OTHER HOMES ARE ALSO FOR SALE,ALL WITH INCENTIVES TO BUYERS.

ONE OF TWO THINGS IS ABOUT TO HAPPEN TO ME AT THE AGE OF 40. MOVE THE HOUSE TO A DIFFERENT LOCATION WITH WHAT MONEY I DONT HAVE LEFT,OR FORCLOSE THE HOME.

IN ALL MY LIFE I HAVE NEVER SEENANYONE IN THE UNITED STATES MAKE THE AMERICAN DREAM SO UNREACHABLE OR UNDISIREABLE. THE RICH GET RICHER AND THE POOR GET POORER.

WITH REASERCH ON MHC YOU WILL FIND SEVERAL STATES THAT THIS IS HAPPENING IN WITH NOTHING STOPPPING THEM..

IF THIS COMPANY GETS AWAY WITH THIS WHAT WILL THE NEXT COMPANY DO.HOW MUCH MORE CAN SOMEONE BE TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF WITH NOWERE TO TURN FOR HELP (WITH SUCSESS).

IF IM LATE I HAVE TO PAY MORE.IF I DONT KEEP MY RENTED PROPERTY CLEAN I GET NOTIFYED,THEN CAN BE SITED IF NOT ACCEPTABLE (WHICH HASENT HAPPENED YET BUT CAN).

HATE TO SAY IT BEING A SELLER BUT DONT BUY HERE... UNLES YOU WANT TO GIVE YOUR MONEY AWAY.
