8-23-04 Had my driver side door glass replaced at my work site because they are mobile.
A couple weeks later I ran my car through a car wash to have a very wet awakening. Whoa! While in process of calling them to hang the door differently, I closed the driver door, while having the glass in the rolled down position. IT IMMEDIATELY SHATTERED, and sounded like a slot machine inside my car door.
To me, it's obvious, it's either sub-standard glass, or they simply didn't quite hang the door correctly. Have any of us ever had new glass break after only a month of normal wear & tear? I don't think this is normal, do you?
It was the weekend, so when Monday arrived, I spoke on the phone with a man named MATT who was very rude from the start, commenting that it couldn't have been as a result of their workmanship, and that I probably had defective "inner" door parts that caused it to happen.
The owner is still Mike Saghafi, and his attitude was even worse, when I arrived for them to look at the door the next day at their facility. (9-28-04) He said the same thing to me as the other complaint on this board. He said he would fight me all the way to the Supreme Court! He said he could replace it for me, but it was the principle of the matter! What?
They say that ALL THEIR WORKMANSHIP IS GUARANTEED FOR A LIFETIME!
Good luck trying to nail them on what this terminology actually pertains too. They squirmed out of all & any scenarios.
The principle is that I didn't get satisfactory service!
They denied Matt hung up on me, they put lying words in my mouth I didn't say, and were very very deceitful. They said... I told them I slammed my own car door... just weird, weird stuff.
After a month they said it was too late to come back to complain and that they weren't into "charity cases"... and weren't into giving salvation. WOW they have the keys to heaven too?!
The original install was $139 big ones! He offered to put in another window at $70, I said no way! I can't believe he was willing to have me leave totally furious & dissatisfied over $70 but he did.
Please, please, please tell your friends.... don't go here! I am big into customer satisfaction! I work for a fortune 100 company and you can bet I am telling everyone I know how poorly I was treated.
Nothing will happen to this owner unless we band together!
