Upon leaving the restaurant, my two associates and I, walked down to the "Quality Parking Service, Inc. valet parking attendants booth, where I handed the parking attendant my valet parking ticket stub, and waited for my vehicle to arrive. The vehicle arrived a moment later, and we drove away, discussing how great our meal had been at Morton's Steakhouse.
After saying good evening, as I dropped off my associates, I noticed the front passenger side of new new vehicle had been damage, from what looked like being run into a curb. I was completely upset.... My new, super rare, AMG C63 had been damage by the valet service at Morton's ! I immediately went back to the valet parking area, to find they had already left for the night.
The next morning, I phoned Morton's, and spoke with Kevin, the Manager, who said he felt horrible, and that he would help me contact the valet parking service, to get my vehicle repaired immediately. Kevin gave me the phone number to "Quality Parking Service, Inc.", which I called immediately, only to reach a woman who said that there wasn't anyone in the office now, and try calling back later. I did, and the same woman said the person I need to speak to, was out to lunch, and she said for me to call back in an hour.
After getting the "nobody's hear run-around", I decided to go back to the valet parking booth, and asked for a damage report form, which "Juan Carlos" was very reluctant to give to me. He immediately started telling me the he didn't wreck my vehicle, and that there's no way it was damaged by him or his valet parking attendants. After I started taking photos with my iPhone, he completely changed his attitude, and was more than eager, to help me fill out the damage report. I took several photos showing how the curb, and the damage to my vehicle, were at the same height, and it didn't a brain surgeon to figure out how the valet attendant damaged the front of my car.
After filling out a Damage Report Form, "Juan Carlos, kept 2 copies, and said he would submit the claim forms to his boss, and gave me one copy to send to "Maarco & Associates", the valet parking companies insurance company. Upon returning home, I called the "Maarco & Associates" phone number, which was given to me by the valet attendant, only to have the same woman tell me the "Mo" was on the phone, and could I leave my phone number, and he'll call me back when he gets off the phone, which I did. "Mo" never called me back, and when I called them back, the woman said I need to speak with "Vincent", who also was "not available".
5 minutes later, I called back again, and "Vincent" magically answered the phone, and I asked him did he receive my accident claim form yet, and he said he did. He said I had to speak with "Don Robinson", their "claims adjuster", who he said would call me back shortly. That never happened, and the next day, I called back again, and left a message, asking for "Don Robinson" to please call me, as I wanted my vehicle repaired immediately, or would be turning this matter over to my attorneys. He called me back the next day, and said I needed to submit my damage claim form, along with the repair estimate I received from a local Mercedes-Benz authorized repair shop, which I had acquired a day earlier. He said he would "expedite" my claim, as it was dragging on, and he wanted to get me taken care of promptly.
On September 23, I received a letter from "Steve Astor", the "claims adjuster" for "Maarco & Associates", stating that "after reviewing the evidence, they are claiming no responsibility for the damage of my vehicle". He also stated that none of the parking staff had seen or heard anything about my vehicle being damaged, nor were any other cars reported being damaged. So what he's saying is, that "since no other cars were damaged, my car wasn't damaged either" ? How f*cking lame !
Why on earth would they think any of their staff would rat anyone else out ? Oh, and the last thing they stated was "You may be covered for this under your own automobile insurance policy"..... What "evidence are they referring to ??? Are these guys nuts ?
Why the h*ll should I pay my $500 deductible, when they are at fault ? STUPID !!!
Today, I explained the entire episode to my attorneys and insurance company, and you can be absolutely that "Maarco & Associates", or whoever they are, will be hearing from both my attorney's, and from my insurance company. My attorneys are, and have always been, on lifetime retainer, and they just love dealing with people who try and f*** with me :)
If you ever plan on going to 3400 Olive Avenue in Burbank, whether you're going to Morton's Steakhouse, or to somewhere else in the complex, you may want to rethink where and who you want to park your vehicle.
If you are smart, you will park either across the street and walk, or you'll self-park your vehicle, and make sure the valet parking people go nowhere near your vehicle.
BE WARNED !
"Quality Parking Service, Inc." and their "insurance company" "Maarco & Associates" are most definitely businesses to avoid if at all possible !!!
I'm gonna be real happy after this mess is taken care of......
