We've done business with Macy's Department Stores for many years, liked their products and liked their service; but within the past several years it seems they've outsorced their credit-accounting and it has been a nightmare for us. In the past we were able to pay our accounts (we had more than one) by check making the multiple payments with one check. The credit/accounting firm Macy's began using seemed unable to do the math to apply payments correctly to the designated accounts on the check memos and as a result after a couple of months we began getting delinquent notices on one account or the other. We called many times trying to get the situation corrected, but everytime we would make a payment on multiple account using one check this "new bunch" could not get it right! We finally just decided to promply close out our accounts (which would run several thousand dollars); and we paid our Macy's accounts of in one lump sum. Now, even though we paid off Macys, we are still getting billed a $14 per month interest charges on a zero balance account!! What?!! Really??!! We are now considering contacting the states' attorney generals about this; but WHO DO YOU CONTACT IN INDIA??!!!!
