Magicjack advertises that it is a free call service for 19.99 a year. I saw this ad on CNBC. Their is nothing at $19.99.. they charge $69.95 plus $7.95 s&h. Also their punch line of free call is totally false. I purchased magicjack number 7326457092 based on this. Initially they allowed me to call all numbers for free. After 30 days of return period was over.. same numbers which were free to call where blocked. For example I frequently call 7324033161 which is a conference line number to call international numbers at cheaper price. MagicJack blocked this numbers and says you need to buy a prepaid minutes to call this number. Again this number was allowed to call without any prepaid balance during first 30 days of return period. When i talk to customer care they said you agreed to terms and conditions which somewhere says that you need to buy prepaid minutes to call this kind of numbers. First this is critical part of service... infact this totally contradicting to their punchline or advertising of FREE CALLS. They should clearly mention in advertising that not all calls are free. People get fooled buy this ads. Secondly they allowed free call to all the numbers in first 30 days review period which they blocked .. this is clear cheating. Now that i am out of 30 days return period i am not able to return this or use it. They have fooled me miserably.
