MagicJack inc. Beware of upgradin to magicJack-plus and later adding additional service years! Internet scam! Internet

Here is the issue...i upgraded from magicJack to magicJack plus about mid December 2011. Reason for the upgrade was to eliminate the use of a pc for ip phone device. Upon upgrade, i transfered the same phone number from old device to the new device. Everything worked welll....

About two weeks later i receive an email advertisement to add additional months to my service. Please keep in mind the email does not specify old unit (magicJack not magicJack-plus!). I then paid and graded to five year service (from one year initial srvice when i switched over). Today, I come to find out that the money was applied by mistake/purpose by magicjack company to the old device that i no longer am using. Upon contacting the customer service (and it is only through live chat) they were telling me that the money was applied to the old device and they can not do anything about it. I tried to reason and ask them to verify that the old device has not been in service since the new one was activated and they end my chat! This is not cool and smells like fraud.

Anybody else has had similar problem? How do you get intouch with us head quarters? Seems like the chat is coming from overseas. Thanks for listening and any suggestions. Mikogaki!
