Manay Software is a really big scam, ripoff, whatever words you can find to fit them, for the inconvenience they may have caused you.
Count me in for a class action law suit against Manay Software. I'm sure lots of you who has experience with Manay, the customer service is bad, and they are reading from a script.
This is my experience with Manay.
I have ordered CD's from Manay Aug 17th 2005.
I received confirmation email from the company indicating my request has been processed.
Considering it may take a week to get the merchandise here. I waited until September 1st to make contact with Customer Service.
September 1st, I made contact with the customer service. Customer provided me a tracking number with UPS. I contacted UPS, indicated they have received the package and delievered it to USPS on Aug 20th. A gentleman from UPS (Travis) called, indicated that the package has been delievered to USPS. Which USPS will take an additional 5- 10 days (1 week) to get the package out to me. USPS will hold my mail but may return it if no one comes to pick it up.
I responded back to Manay on September 14th indicated what the situation is. Manay Customer Service indicated they'll send out a new cd's to me. September 16th I received the CD's. The CD package has a postmark of 9/16/05.
Finally on the 22th I had time to review the cd's but the clipart they have in there was similar to those of Microsoft Office Suite. Which was a really big dissappointment. So I decided to return the cd's. On Sept 24th I went online to cancel my request, and the confirmation says that I had the cd's longer than my trial period. I was shock to see that especially when I just received the cd's on the September 16th.
So I called the number they provided on the internet. I told the customer service rep that I want to cancel my request and I should not be charged.
The Customer Service (Faith Diaz) said, "According to our records, the graphic cd's was delievered to on August 20th"
I said, "No, UPS delivered it to USPS on August 20th" I never received the product until September 16th. So wouldn't my trial period begin on the September 16th and end on September 26th." The customer service keep on saying, no the package was delivered on the 20th that I received the package on the 20th." The Customer Rep, indicated she cannot refund my money or anything else because their record indicated I received the package on Aug 20th.
I told her that I will report them to the better business buearu and that I will follow up with her manager. I asked for her manager and she indicated they can't give out confidential company information. That's BS. Then I asked her for the return address for the cd's. She indicated that those cd's were mine and that I don't have to return them. I know she's reading from a script because her sentence sound exactly alike. It's like a the twilight zone. She refused to give me an address.
So I told her if she doesn't give me an address, I'm going to send the package directly to her with the address on the package. The customer then finally gave me the return address which turned out to be the same shipping address but attn the return department.
So what I did was sent the package certified, attn return deparment c/o of Faith Diaz so that way some one will receive these CD's.
I had also made copies of the post mark and every information needed to keep my case strong.
I also contact my bank, inform them of the situation. They credit my account with the money and they will investigate the issue. Which I'm glad my bank is able to do. I love Bank of America.
Now, I just want to show Manay that their way of doing service is REALLY BAD. Espicially using UPS records which clearing states the package was sent to USPS on XXXX date and then accusing the customer of receiving the package on that date. That's bad business. Manay uses this tatics so they can make money, in my eyes that's really bad. If they have any stock share holders, they must be careful because this will come back and bite Manay in the butt.
So if anyone knows an attorney or any information so we can address this issue let me know. Because some thing needs to be done now or there will be more people who will get rip off.
