On my vacation to Nashville I happened upon Manuel Couture. My husband decided to have Manuel make a custom costume for me to wear on stage as I am a performer. He took all kinds of measurements and even measured me for boots. I told him I did not want any because I lived in South Florida and he told me that just in case I wanted them later, he would have my measurements. He assured us when we gave him our deposit that I would love the costume he would make for me or we would get a refund. We thought we had nothing to lose. 
Instead...4 months later, I get the costume and "surprise" boots to the tune of $6000.00. The costume was a pathetic excuse for a rag. The seams did not line up, cheap material, and it looked like it was made for someone with one arm shorter than the other, a foot taller than me and hunchback. Who he made this for is beyond me. The boot zippers looked like a little kid went crazy with an exacto knife and the "gold" color on the boots was sprayed, apparently in the wind because it was uneven with fold marks where apparently they had been laid down.
When I called Manuel he acted like he didn't know how any of this happened. Supposedly he tailored all this himself...that was the deal....but it looked like???? It's hard to explain but I have lots of pictures.
Marissa Benchley, his phone assistant said that they would fix the suit. What??? It's pathetic! But she said no refunds. What? That's not what they told us in the store!! Apparently we signed something and in small print it said no refunds. Rip off!!! And the boots that I never ordered? No refunds! What???? I didn't order them!! Well....exetera....I could keep going on and on. Still I am out $6000. When I complained to American Express, they produced the paper that they had me falsely sign and I did not get a refund. Here it is 9 months later and no word. I filed a case in court, but that's taking a long time. Stay away from this place!!! Whatever he was before, he is no longer!!! Pathetic and very unbusiness like rip offs!!!!
