I can't believe this woman is still in "business" - and it IS a business to her. She ripped us off years ago and she is still doing it! Even if this report is true about how great she is (and I seriously doubt it), remember that even a broken clock is correct two times per day. Stay away from Marcy Meshes who has about 20 aliases and the same number of social security numbers.

  I can say that I dealt with Marci some time ago on the other side of the spectrum. I'm shocked to see so many negative comments against her. 

  I contacted Marci upon finding out I was pregnant. I knew that I was to young and and I had just given birth to my daughter a few months back. After speaking with Marci a few times I found her to be genuinely concerned about my well being both mentally and physically. She told me if I ever needed anything to call her. Those words would prove to be true later. She matched me with a gay couple (I had no preference) residing in Ohio. My home situation at the time was unstable so the couple asked did I want to come live with them. At the time I already had my daughter with me in tow. Arrangements were made and off I went. I lived with them for about three months before I started to realize that they were not as stable as they claimed to be. They argued constantly about money, they mistreated me; I was very unhappy there. They even tried to get me to deposit a financial aid check I received into their bank account, saying once the check cleared they would give me the money. I declined, I wasn't that stupid. After receiving a call from Marcie (she often called to check on me) I told her how unhappy I was. I was never really allowed to use their telephone, if so someone was always eavesdropping.

  After overhearing my conversation they attempted to throw me and my daughter out in a suburban area, states away from home, small child in tow, 8 months pregnant, with only a financial aid check in my pocket. They wouldn't even let me use the phone to call a cab. Marci took charge of the situation and called a cab, called the check cashing place (they didn't want to cash my check), and found me a hotel. She offered to fly me to Florida to live with her until I gave birth. I declined and a few weeks later I was introduced to the people that adopted my baby. They are great and to this day they still send me pictures and updates. I went through a hard time and Marcie was there until the end offering me support.

  I definitely understand what everyone else is saying here, but I wanted to add some light to the situation. I hope that the prospective parents here do find children, there are so many out there that need you... 

The reason why Marcy Meshes left Florida was because the heat was coming down on her, not only because of adoption scams, illegally excepting monies via wire transfers into a florida checking account as a facilitator in adoption,,all illegal because she was not licensed, did not hold a business license nor was a LLC or corporation in the state of Florida.  It was proven that she never had any expectant mothers working with the last year she was doing her illegal business. She was also committing fraud in real estate and insurance. She fled right before she was to arrested.  It is safe to say, she will never be aloud to live back in Fl under her identity.
To the last poster, IF you are WHO you say you are, everyone understood your fear and why you would never come forward. Glad you were one of the very few who successfully adopted through her.  Tell all that you have posted to those who lost $9,000+ to Marcy and will never see that money again. She is very, very greedy and now sells kitty's. check it out, call her, I am sure she could use a friend.  Also sad that the child she adopted was removed from her care.
Do your research before you spot off.

I have read the note from the ladies who complained about Marcy's adoption services and it made my blood boil.  I was one of the references the ladies called before contracting with Marcy. I adopted two children over four years from Marcy and she did everything she promised and more. I told the ladies this when they called me and they were all excited to go forward with the contract. Birhmother's change their minds all the time, that is understood by everyone who adopts. I told the ladies that I had a birthmother change her mind after working with her for four months. This happens and it is understood. Instead of being patient and waiting for a new match, these ladies turned vicious and set out to ruin a wonderful persons reputation. Not only badgering Marcy but threatening her and her family. I have known Marcy for many years and I know many families who adopted from her, we are a community. These ladies were on a witch hunt and they used the Internet to spread deceipt and vicious behavior. Shame on them. I hope they never became parents. The danger of the Internet is it gives hateful people a big voice and innocent people get ruined. These ladies are nothing but Internet stalkers and bullies.


By the way, these ladies said to me that they were a gay couple, note that on their complaint to Marcy, they are just friends.

I know Marcy and find it hard to believe that any of what has been reported is true.  I know her to be a very kind and caring person and admire what she does.

I won't even bother reading Marcie's rebuttal. I dealt with her years ago as have many people and she is just a ... sad case. Go to the Manatee County Clerk website to see a history of her lawsuits. Can all these people be wrong?

She has been foreclosed on her home (s) and has left them in inhabitable condition. She lies, steals, and cheats and then threatens to sue you if you say anything about it. Just stay away from her or she will do everything within her power to make you "pay" for crossing her. One PI found about eight social security numbers for her.

This woman and her lesbian partner (her "friend" the Private Investigator, Karen), signed a legal contract and paid a fee to adopt a set of twins, the birthmother had specifically requested a lesbian couple. The birthmother had matched with a lesbian couple previously, who then backed out due to an invitro pregnancy. Numerous phone calls were accomplished to explain exactly how the adoption program worked.

These two college educated ladies after checking references entered into the contractual agreement. The contract stipulated in more than four places that the fee is non-refundable, however for any failed match, we would continue the match until the clients had successfully adopted.

A period of time later the birthmother changed her mind and said that she was making other plans for her twins. Seana agreed to go forward and was excited and positive about the future adoption. Her aggressive, street talking, P.I. partner, Karen, started to call me with demands for a refund, with numerous threats. She then went on the Internet adoption sites claiming that I was a "scammer", and that there were no twins.

Her outrageous, aggressive and bullying, and libeling behavior was so obnoxious that the adoption boards complained to the moderators to delete her messages. I then started to receive stalking and harassing phone calls at my home from Karen, regarding my puppy being killed, my neighbors were also harassed by Karen, who was using private investigator software to stalk me.

I had to make two reports to the police of threats against myself, my puppy, and my home. It was clear that Karen had aggression issues. I informed both Seana and Karen that I intended to follow my legal contract, and that I would not be bullied or threatened. Splaying the Internet with libelous comments is not businesslike or professional, is surely doesn't bode well for people who want to be parents. It makes these ladies appear unstable.
