Next time a consumer complains learn how to handle the complaint with grace, patience and intelligence because responding the way you have just demonstrates how uneducated you are in business practices and in general.

As far as thousands of complaints regarding these franchises all one has to do is do a general search online. Here's a few thousand: http://ecorporateoffices.com/MassageEnvy-2906 I found a website with thousands upon thousands of complaints for Massage Envy, specifically about the membership methods which the company imposes and the poor customer service and lack of quality service. Not to mention various website where therapist are unhappy as well because of poor pay and treatment. http://massageenvyblows.com/
Let me guess though your franchise is an exception right? Apparently not because no professionally qualified owner or business manager is going to address a complaint in such a condescending manner.
Should we also discuss the fact that these franchises have lowballed the standard of massage therapy as far as quality, worth and their underpayment and overworking massage therapists?
Both consumers and therapists have had it with your poor business practices and your unprofessionalism. Learn how to deal with a consumer complaint with poise, respect and reverence for the fact that they even visited such a poor establishment unknowingly and then maybe just maybe you won't see any more of these rip off complaint.
I am a licensed massage therapist and I refuse to work for a massage franchise for this reason. You are not qualified to run not only a massage business but any business when you address complaint in such an unprofessional and foul manner. People are signing up to receive healing work and instead they are getting robbed and treated horrible. Shame on Massage Envy and YOU!
that particular clinic probably has well over 1,000 members but they routinely lie and deceive? Really? Why are the other 1,500 members or so not screaming loud and clear? Or maybe, they just decided to lie and to deceive you? Yeah, that must be it!
When does personal responsibility ever have a part in your life? If there is any lying being done here i suspect that you're pointing your accussations at the wrong person. That person can be seen by you looking in a mirror. You signed an agreement which directly contradicts that you say you were told about cancelling at any time? Did they say "Don't worry about that silly old agreement you're signing and initialing just believe me not what's on that silly little piece of paper."
Then you make an appointment for a massage. The clinic reserves that time, a room, and the therapist is waiting for you to show up but you don't. The therapist must be paid for their time but you think that it should be the clinic's responsibility to pay the therapist and you should pay nothing for breaking an appointment, costing the therapist a gratuity and yet it's all someone else's problem?
Grow up and place the blame where it belongs-on yourself.
