at its best!

I paid monthly on a one year contract where I received credit to use one massage per month paid. I honored the one year contract and had 3 1/2 massage credits. When I cancelled at the end of the year contract, I was informed I must use all of my credits within 30 days or they will be lost. I recognize this was on the contract, but what a short term thinking business strategy. I think we all expect to receive what we have paid for. To have a contract that essentially is tough luck if you don't use it is just ripoff.

As long as we keep accepting this type of business model to exist, shame to exist, and keep signing these fine print contracts, shame on us. But a big shame on you to the owners and management of MASSAGE ENVY The service was all good, BUT, as we have the right in our capitalist society, the will not receive a dime more of my money. I also will go out of my way to warn people. As a health care professional, I have opportunity to guide folks to massage places. I used to only send pts to massage envy. Scratch that!

Not so fine print

AUTHOR: xononeofyourbusiness - (USA)

Yes everyone expects to receive what they've paid for, but more importantly they should expect what they've agreed to. You signed basically a massage/cellphonish membership agreement. Would you keep your unused minutes when you terminate your cell phone agreement. If you do, point me in the direction of that company. Otherwise, lay off the company that explains everything to you in written form, with a 3 day period to read everything over properly.
