Massage Envy Massage Envy ripps off cancer paitents ! santee California

 Don't EVER join Massage Envy !!!  I joined about 4 1/2 years ago and my husband joined about 2 years ago on my membership. It seemed like a good way to have some relaxed time with each other. Well... the massages were O.K. most of the time and they have a few good therapist,s but you have to fight to get them. My husband was diagnosed with liver cancer last year and was going through various treatments that make it too painful for a massage, the therapists forgot and rubbed too hard in the liver area causing him pain for 2 days. I called 3 times before a "manager" called me back and  I requested to transfer the balance of his massages to my account and close his due to his health ( we were already well past the original membership time ) i was told they could transfer 8 of them (he had about 10 built up that we had pre- paid $49.00 each ) Then they could freeze it until he was able to come back, or cancel it but he would lose the balance of the pre-paid ones that were not used. I told them to cancel his membership and they said that they would cancel the auto pay for his account. 3  months later I noticed that they were still charging me for both memberships ( I was overwhelmed with taking care of him and didn't notice sooner) I called again and asked for a manager, I was told that the manager was not in yet but she could help me, I asked her to see why I was still being charged and she said " you have to bring in a note from your doctor stating that he could not get massages anymore and then he would forfit ALL the massages he had already paid for  that now totaled 13 at a cost of $637.00. I asked why I was told something completly diffrent before and she just said  "that's our policy' but a manager would call me back. I still have not heard from them. They only want your money and have no customer service. I think it is a RIP-OFF that you have no recourse if you have cancer or some other health issue that prevents you from recieving a massage. I have been a long time customer that can't even get massages we already paid for transfered to my STILL existing account. Do yourself a favor and don't support this company. They don't care about thier clients.
