The first thing I noticed that was unusual was that Matrix One debited my card the same day I placed the order despite the fact the items were only on pre-order. I work for a large internet retailer so I knew this was an unusual thing to do.
When the 3-4 week time frame came and went, I began to contact the company. I was told the tablets were held up in customs but that they would be shipping the next week. When the next week came, Matrix's website suddenly disappeared and their phone systems stopped accepting incoming calls. I immediately filed a dispute with my bank. Within days, the website went back to being active.
I continued to try and contact Matrix for a refund. Emails and calls were not returned. I finally contacted Google Wallet and opened a mediation request. At that point Google notified me that Matrix One's account had been frozen due to bad customer reviews and failure to respond to customer mediation requests. Google then notified me today that Matrix One aka Direct Merchandise Marketing, INC aka Pacatek have been banned entirely from using Google Wallet.
I finally received my refund today after 3 weeks of spending countless hours on the phone with my bank, Google Wallet and the merchant.
Do not buy from this company unless you have money to throw away without ever seeing a product!!!

I stressed my concerns to the Attorney General and in addition made Google aware of Strivetek and their continued efforts to fraud customers. People like this need to be exposed.

Matrix One is Strivetek

Take a close look at the Strivetek (xrt750) and you will note that it is undoubtedly the Google Nexus 7, The lockscreen image shown can be found at http://s4gru.com/index.php?/topic/1085-nexus-7/page__st__120 (note the time and date).
After conversing with a representative from this company (The same representative for Matrix One and Pacatek), it is obvious they have no ability or intent to deliver by Christmas. It is likely that there is already another website launched.

I would recommend try calling the number on strivetek.com to see anything if they truly are part of this company.

11/20 has since came and went and not when trying to contact customer service, I get no answer and that the office is "closed" as per the voice recording. Then you get forwarded to a Lily Vargas voice mail, to which there is no return. I've emailed twice and all I got on the 11/23 was some "support email" stating I have an account set up for support. Even when I look at it, there's nothing updated. Just the original message I sent them.
After doing some research, I found an article at Engadget and the comments section was riddled with other upset customers, some even stating that Google has frozen their account and has been "banned" from using Google Wallet. They too have also said that the company has become unresponsive in communication with customers and even Google for mediation on refunds.
It would appear their Facebook and Twitter accounts has since been removed. I can't seem to find an account. Probably too many other complaints.
I have since reached out to my bank and opened a refund dispute today (11/28/2012). My bank is very good at siding with their customers first and doing a "dispute refund". I didn't want to go through Google as getting my money back would take much longer and I rather my bank deal with them and DMM. For the record I have absolutely nothing against Google as they wanted to work with me, but it's just a smoother transaction to have my bank dispute it and keep me informed.
I wish anyone else who reads this and is going through the same problem good luck. Make sure to contact Google or your Bank ASAP as there may be statutes of limitation. Google has a 90 day policy.

"Take a look at the Matrix people's About Us page. http://mtxone.com/company/abou... Note Robert K. as the CEO. They list his last name, Klayman. They also make mention about Ginsu Knives.
A quick googling of Robert Klayman gives a report of someone who got scammed by his operation for what smells like a work-from-home pyramid scheme: http://www.ktla.com/news/landing/ktla-special-report-bad-business,0,1679174.story...
There's also a federal court cease-and-desist order to stop him from foisting interests in the same scheme since, from what I can tell and not being a lawyer, he was basically trying to sell to people who didn't have a clue what they were buying: http://www.corp.ca.gov/ENF/pdf/2011/SCIEspanol_DR.pdf...
There's a 2008 judgment that I don't have full details on without PACER access, http://dockets.justia.com/docket/california/cacdce/2:2008cv02977/415055/... He's also involved in an overseas call center operation, with some investments in the Phillipines: http://www.securecallmanagement.com/executives.htm..."
Here's what I dug up...
Further proof of Robert Klayman being involved with Matrix One:

Point being, BE CAREFUL! This guy has a history of defrauding consumers!
