The store we went to  was Mattress Giant (Wells Rd store) in Orange park Florida.

We are very successful people and make great money and we don't take it lightly when some sleazy low life sales woman named KAT tries to steel it. This woman has issues.

To begin with, the entire experience was ridiculous and felt like we were dealing with a used car salesman.

Mattress giant is unscrupulous and cares about nothing but the "bottom line".  However the people that work there know what they are getting into and quite frankly I think they love it. They like screwing people over. We went into several of the stores and everyone of the sales people looked like they hadn't taken a bath in days. They deal mostly with "used" mattress but we bought a new mattress.

From the delivery of the first mattress to  trying to get the replacement, this Person and I use the word lightly, KAT (Kathryn) played games and tried to botch the entire purchase. 

Mattress Giant has caller ID on their phones and they will also not answer the phone if they chose not to. ie. if you've called to check status of your order or complain, they remember your number and will not answer the phone.

In the end, we got what we wanted because we are both in Customer Service and we know how to play games back to get what we want... It shouldn't be that way..

Buyer beware- Do not go to the Mattress Giant in Orange park.. Kat, Don and their sleazy "regional manager" ART are all Sleazy, dishonest low lifes.... and so is the entire Company.

If you didn't like dealing with Kat why did you go to so many other stores?  There must have been something you liked. 

I bet I know what it is!  The mattress and the price!  I have found over time that some people just can't be made happy no matter what.  I am not saying your like that but there is no mention what so ever what Mattress Giant has done wrong.  It is my suggestion the reason why could be when you went to write out your review so saw that they might not be so bad after all.  But your angry and vent a little so you bashed a company and I have not yet found one that was perfect however usually there is one good person in there somewhere.  Having met and talked with Art on a consistent basis due to my job and have found him to be very customer service oriented.  He does not however bow down when someone is being unreasonable and just give them there way.  Any one who tells a group of people (especially that they don't know) says something about there character.  Maybe you are used to getting everything you want and it didn't go 100% your way?  We will never know because all you did was discredit a group of people and a company without any supporting information.

"Debbie" Uses Sleazy Tactics

As an ex-employee of Mattress Giant I can tell you that Debbie is the one using sleazy tactics.

I worked with Mattress Giant for over two years and recently moved out of state. Unfortunately the company is not in North Carolina. Besides being full of grammatical and punctuation errors Debbies posting is also full of BULL. I happen to know for a fact that competing companies make it a habit of posting ridiculous claims like this against Mattress Giant. In this posting there are no examples, there are no specifics and the entire story makes absolutely no sense whatsoever.

In the time I worked for Mattress Giant I saw them grow and prosper in Jacksonville, specifically Orange Park,  where many competitors already had a MAJOR foothold. Everyone knows TRUE word of mouth spreads quickly. If one fifth of what Debbie said were true Mattress Giant could not have become the success it has in Orange Park in the short amount of time they have been there.

When I worked at the Giant the one thing management would always drill into everyones head was We need to be better than everyone else. Competing companies had similar products, similar pricing, similar locations; the only way to be better was through providing unmatched customer service. In the time was with the Giant I saw them do things for unreasonable customers that surpassed any and all expectations for outstanding customer service. That is proof of why they have grown the way they have everyone know sleazy tactics would not produce those results. Needless to say, this has made some competitors do some very stupid and sleazy things like posting stories like this one.

I challenge Debbie to give specifics. Because to say such things like the sales people hadnt taken a bath in days is just stupid. And it lends to prove that the whole story is made up. And thats the trouble with sites like this, NO ACCOUNTABILITY. I can write anything about anyone with no proof. However, in a case like this you just have to use common sense why on Gods green earth would anyone with an IQ higher than 50 buy from the company Debbie describes? Yet she did yeah right.
