If someone calls you from the phone number 323-570-4065, they received your information from payday loan application you filled out and the person who claims his name is Max Gamble will tell you that you owe money for a pay day loan you received and that if you don't pay it back they will have the police at your door. Don't trust them. I never even received a pay day loan for $300, however. DON'T trust any company who claims they will have the police at your door within 24 hours for a pay day loan, the legal system doesn't work that way. If you legitamately owe money, there's a process that will take several months, sometimes several years with regard to a lender attempting to collect a debt that you owe via legal remedies and the process will never directly involve the police because the lender "agreed" to loan that money to you and there's a whole process that they need to follow in order to get that money back.

So if you ever receive a random call, insisting that you must pay them "today" with a major credit card or by authorizing them to take the money out of your account and you dont' know who they are, don't trust them. Turn the tables and tell them that you will call the police on them for attempting to run a pay day loan scam on you. Also, Max Gamble will never give out their company address, their fax # and they won't reveal who their client is. This is totally illegal. If you owe a lender money, the debt collection agency is obligated to tell you who the lender is that they're representing so that you may pin point what debt you're paying back, or if the debt exists in the first place. Don't trust anyone who calls you from the contact # of 323-570-4065.

Max Gamble

AUTHOR: jnoack - (United States of America)

I was called today by Max Gamble reguarding a payday loan that I never asked for or recieved.  I was told that I was being sued by a company called Payday America.  I was told that I would be served with papers tomorrow by the local police and then I would be taken to Calfornia for the suit.  Needless to say, I was livid.  Then I decided to look him up online and found this site.  I will see what happens tomorrow, but I was greatly relieved to see that I was not the only one who recieved this type of call.  The number I was call from was not the 323 number listed in the original complaint, but 916-282-3133.
