Max Horizon Publications ripoff Check Fraud Mail Fraud Beware liars victimized us Las Vegas Nevada

In July 2002 My husband and Myself found ourselves under an extreme financial burden. Wanting to better our lives and the lives of our children, We happened to receive a mail solicitation for a company called Max Horizon, Located in las vegas Nevada. We usually are very sceptical of such an offer but since it offered a money back guarantee and provided an additional customer service phone number we figured there would be nothing to lose.

Well immediately after receiving the garbage they sent us I wrote a formal letter and requested a refund as the guarantee stated. Well less than 2 weeks later I received a check and a brief letter saying here you go, sorry the business wasnt to your liking. Well, I deposited the check in our account and continued on my merry way.

To my extreme suprise I received a letter from the bank that this is not a good check ($42.00) and I am being charged an additional returned check fee. I asked over and over if my bank could do something about this. They said this was between me and this company, I was so angered by this and I had to work a full time job There was no-way I would be able to do all these calls during the day trying to track them down.

So I wrote another letter, provided a color copy of their actual check as well as my returned check fee slip, and asked in the letter that they return the money to us as well as the fee.

Three weeks went bye, Nothing. So i wrote another and provided the same copies. Still........ Nothing! So i went ahead and made 5 more copies of the same letter and the same copies and sent one letter a week for 5 weeks, nothing. Except now the 4th and 5th letter were now returned unopened.

These bastards know exactly what I am writing about and are now returning my inquiries unopened... Just to spit back in my face over and over again... This should not be allowed, I have tried repeatedly and these individuals do not even want to refund $42.00 after they assure you there is indeed a money back guarantee.

I am now trying to get intouch with the Clark county Bad Check Division, and Maybe seeking small claims, I dont know what will work , I know I am so stressed out about this, they have made so upset and I am going to make sure they are processed by the legal system and do not get away with this again!
