I realized I was going to have serious problems with George Anastassov of Maxillofacial surgery services very ealy on. The first Real red flag was when Dina Mastoras told me the surgery went a little bit longer than expected and I needed more anasthesia, So the total cost is now $2,070. instead of $1,070. Now in my head i'm like ok that doesn't affect me because they both told me anasthesia fees were included in the total price of $10,000. No where in the contract or papers that I signed does Dr Anastassov mention any fees for anasthesia. I have the original contract, email me at (((ROR redacted))) and I will provide original contract! So anyway once I heard of this I flipped out, and I was like Dina?? "What are you talking about right now" (Dina is the office secretary) and she was like "NO NO anasthesia fees are always separate". and to make matters worse it wasn't $1,070 that I owed it was $2,070!!! Double anesthesia price because he ran into complications he wasn't able to foresee. I went home absolutely furious. I decided to let cooler heads prevail I did not want to have a confrontation with his secretary. I really wanted to speak to DR. Anastassov himself about this matter, so I went back to his office on the next appointment I had with him and I asked dina to speak to Dr. Anastassov. He was in his office or in another room somewhere in the back. So I coudn't just walk back there. anyway, she comes back out and tells me, "John it is best you email him your questions and concerns". I did not understand what the big deal was to just speak to him about the situation right then and there. I was coming from Queens into Manhattan and it was about an hour subway and bus ride away. But she insisted "Just email, him its easier" I gave them the benefit of the doubt, since then I have emailed Dr George Anastassov over a dozen times in about a 1 year period, he has yet to respond to anyone of my emails! NOW DOES THAT SOUND LIKE A GUILTY RAT OR WHAT?! His ideology is hire an attorney if you have the money and sue me.Thats his outlook, its unfortunate because the judicial system is set up in a way to reward those who can afford an attorney. I may have to spend $15,000 in attorneys fees and HAVE A JUDGE ONLY award ME $10,000. So I really am caught between a rock and a hardplace. Being able to afford an attorney and not being able to, really has no bearing on who is REALLY right and who is wrong. I may have to amend my case and file in a different court.
