We have just placed a claim for the second time on the oven control panel. We were told the part is not available for 60 days due to a National Backorder--they are trying to tell me this part is not available. This is completely untrue--I could order this part myself from at least three sources and have it shipped immediately. The "National Backorder" is a ploy to force the consumer into waiting for repair and thereby cause the warranty to wear out before they have a chance to make another claim.
I don't recommend Maytag or JennAir appliances and I don't recommend the Maytag Dependability Plus warranty, either.
