We have spent hours and hours making countless phone calls to their "Careco" customer service company attempting to exercise the warranty repairs on these units. The three failed Maytag units have each had from 4 to 6 repairs and are still not working. We have been through five or six repair persons who have "quit working with Careco because they don't pay us." Some of the repair persons would not provide invoices when requested and even returned the units with new physical damage.
This situation has cost us very much time, frustration, inconvenience, and money.
Anyone up for a class action suit against Maytag/fedders? This experience seems universal.
