I purchased two USB drives from McAfee on August 4 for $84.75 each. The purchase was made in two orders, placed at the same time, so that I could have one drive sent to myself and a second drive sent to a family member. The drive for the family member arrived within 2 weeks. Nearly two months later, I have yet to receive mine despite the fact that both drives were charged to my credit card.
3 phone calls and 3 emails later, I still cannot get a response. Every phone call takes about 15 minutes for me to even speak to a representative who cannot give me an explanation and only offers to escalate my issue to another level with a promise that someone will call me back within a couple of days. No one ever calls back. I received one email response during this time. This is the exact response (minus the tracking number):
"Dear Valued Customer, This shipment was delivered on 8/18."
No explanation and a complete snub on my request for the *missing* item. The shipment referred to is the one I already told them had been delivered to my family member. I have never received a tracking number for the second item, no explanation of why it has never arrived despite being paid for and no explanation why McAfee has repeatedly blown me off and avoided dealing with this rather expensive issue. If this weren't McAfee, I would be suspicious that I am a victim of fraud.
It is unlikely that I will ever again purchase anything from McAfee. The customer service is absolutely horrible, especially given the fact that McAfee has collected nearly $170.00 from me and only delivered half the order. If McAfee won't take care of an issue regarding this much money, I would not expect them to provide reasonable support for a cheaper product or order.
