McDonalds's Restaurant, Tupper Lake N.Y. - - BEWARE!

You do not want to work for Bob & Beth Bierwirth...I am a former employee and I can tell you from experience. Bob Bierwirth, the owner/operator will degrade you, in front of other employees and customers. He also openly states how he "hates to hire single mothers because of their lack of having proper daycare for their child." Also, personally requests of female employees "not to get pregnant while working for him."

When Bob gets angry with an employee, their hours "mysteriously" get cut for the next week or two. And if you happen to get over 40 hours in a work week, you can bet you won't see the time-and-half for overtime pay (which is required by law), because Bob has some reason as to why you aren't entitled to overtime rate.

I, personally, have heard Bob remark about a new employee "not being the brightest girl in the world", or commenting that a pregnant employee being taken out of work by doctors orders "is just looking for sympathy and is lazy". Or what about the time he hired an obese young man and didn't have a uniform to fit him? Bob bluntly stated to the boy, "I just don't have one here in your size, it's kind of difficult to find size huge around here."

One final note, if any employee dares make a complaint against these people, they completely turn it around to make themselves look like such "caring" people. With an entire story about "how much they've done for their employees" and "It must be a disgruntled teenage employee complaining." And if they find out, specifically, who made the compaint...you are taken aside and given an entire guilt trip about "how wrong you really are."
