In November 2001, I contracted with McKenzie Scott to create (and produce the associated material) an overall integrated strategy to assist in my job search marketing plan. During a 2 day session in December, a schedule of specific deliverables was developed. The deliverables consisted of two types of material: 1. Creative material (Resume, Marketing letters, CEO biography, Communication Strategy, Action Plan, Alternative Industries Marketing Material), and 2. Communication of the Marketing Material (Electronic and First Class Mailings).

The intrinsic value of the overall McKenzie Scott marketing plan is an integrated strategy of scheduled deliverables. McKenzie Scotts' delays in meeting scheduled deliverables has drastically reduced the marketing plan value and effectiveness. The McKenzie Scott shortfall in the contract deliverables has unilaterally been to my detriment, while these delays have had no apparent effect on McKenzie Scott.

In addition, McKenzie Scott contracted to provide a web portal to instantly access openings in newspapers, trade magazines, job banks, newsgroups and employer web sites. Unfortunately, the accuracy of the McKenzie Scott databases is dubious; an unacceptable level of information returned is out of date, incomplete and inaccurate.

All delays associated with delivery of the McKenzie Scott services are inside the scope of the contract, were directly in McKenzie Scott's control and are attributable to the McKenzie Scott delivery commitment.

In a letter in May, 2002, McKenzie Scott offered to provide all additional services (above the Base Career Management Service) for a 50% discount off the normal fee. In addition, McKenzie Scott has also offered to restart my entire campaign from ground zero with revised materials, targets, strategies, and tactics.

McKenzie Scott and I entered this marketing plan as partners; however, I have taken all of the risk and suffered all the monetary damage. McKenzie Scott has been substantially late for major sections of the Base Career Management Service deliverables.

I have recontacted the company and we have agreed to an amicable resolution of all the elements in my complaint. All of my differences with McKenzie/Scott have been resolved to my satisfaction. As a result, I am hereby withdrawing my negative comments about McKenzie/Scott that were posted on this site. As a result of the resolution of my concerns, I feel McKenzie/Scott is a reputable organization. Our differences were resolved as a result of McKenzie/Scott's good faith efforts to address my concerns.

I strongly advise anyone considering McKenzie Scott to stay away from this company. There are much more professional and significantly less costly services to choose from for employment assistance.



Do your homework, investigate their services and compare against other companies and I am confident you will find other, more reliable and reputable companies to choose from in the future.
