To avoid further confusion...

AUTHOR: Stryfe2025 - (Canada)

Well while the other comments were wonderful but full of no useful advice let me add the following.
In Calgary, Alberta where this incident takes place, there are a a specefic set of labour laws.
Now given the circumstances inherent to this problem for future reference make sure to get written documentation of changed shifts or holiday hours.
Also ensure that you file a labour board cklaim for your area and follow through if you feel you've been wronfully dismissed.
More often than not, you can also go to the McDonald's Head office in Calgary to appeal any decision made by a Restaurant Manager.
Also of interest is to ensure that you get EXACT reasons as to why you were fired, and to ensure that when that information is presented elsewhere IE: Your ROE or EI that the facts are correct or tehy may make it difficult to obtain employment references or gainful employment elsewhere.

You are kidding me, right???

AUTHOR: Cat - (U.S.A.)

You say you were giving no reason? You have GOT to be kidding me! You do do not show up for work on 3 different occasions and you do not know the REASON you were fired? You would have been gone after the first warning if you were working for me. You got two extra bonuses at this job. Count yourself awfully lucky!

To Striderq

AUTHOR: Charles - (U.S.A.)

If the job's belong to the employer then they shouldn't hire anyone. Everyone should quit.

Let the managers do the dirty work so don't hand us this bill crap that the job's belong to the employer, they have to have a reason to fire you. Also they just can't make up anything about you either.

Let the employers do all the work sense the job's belong to them.

No reason???...

AUTHOR: Striderq - (U.S.A.)

You tell us of missing three shifts and getting fired and say there was no reason? Wow, that's some audacity you have. How about this, the job belongs to the company. They don't have to have a reason to fire you, but you gave them three.
