Med CareHelp Have yet to receive refund from 30 day risk-free offer, ripoff! District of Columbia

I signed up for this discount health card to try it's service. It was touted as a program that would provide discounts on DR visits and prescriptions. I was promised a 30 day free trial, but as anyone should know is that so often that means they will bill you and you have 30 days in which to cancel and get a refund.

After receiving their member packet almost a month after contacting them I read through their information and made calls to area physicians they had listed in my area. Needless to say when I called, none were familiar with them. I live in the 3rd largest city in the USA so that did not bode well.

I decided to call and cancel my membership. It has been well over a month and have yet to receive a refund on my debit card. I called today (6/8/2005) and was told by Sue 1-866-5573 ext.199, that my refund was submitted to my bank on 6/6/2005. I have called my bank and was told they have no record of any refund.

My biggest gripe with this company, despite the fact that they were not known by the physicians I contacted, is that if you advertise a 30 day free trial why would you bill initially instead of waiting after the trial period is up? I know it can be done I have experienced companies who have done it.

I am waiting patiently for my refund no more.
