I have had Mediacom cable TV for nearly nine months. This company has never been able to consistently provide all of the HD channels that are part of the service. And when the channel was somewhat available, for example Comcast Sports Network, it was so badly pixellated that it was necessary to watch the same channel in non-HD. After suffering this poor service, we finally decided to switch to DirecTV which is being installed as I speak. I will ask Mediacom to recind our two year agreement. If they refuse I will take the matter to small claims court. In the absence of a class action or action by the Illinois State Attorney, I encourage others to do the same.

Sorry, but I just can't buy a dysfunctional splitter causing the type of problems I had. If any component (including the splitter) was bad, how could some HD channels be working and others not? Are you suggesting a bad splitter can make some HD channels work and others not? How could a splitter be selective about which channels it was going to impede?

the problem lies with your spitter coming into the home sir i had the same probblem with mine and fought mine for over 2 years when i sold my home 2 months before it was closed on they came out and switched the splitter, if directtv dont chaNGE IT same thing could happen, have someone change it out and dont go and buy 1 urself because the ones from like radioshack dont have a return feed mhz like the ones cable companies use
