Mediacom Cable Company Total ripoff Dishonest company with rude employees Charged movies to my account nobody was home refused to take them off account! Chillicothe Illinois

I signed a one year contract with Mediacom in January of 2006. They had a special going on for only $29.95 a month for that first year. So I thought I was getting a good deal.

Then in October 2006, I received a bill for $68.50. They had charged me for two adult movies at $11.99 each! The two movies that I had actually ordered for only $3.99 each were also on the bill.

I called the 800 number and was literally on hold for 25 minutes before someone even picked up! I asked why there was two movies on my bill that I din't order. The lady then tells me that in order to be charged for a movie you have to watch the first five minutes of it!

At this point I was really starting to lose my patience. I asked her, who ordered them? She then tell me that I did! Well I think I would remember! Then she she tells me that the two movies were at 7:30am and 9:15am on the same day, which was a Friday. I leave everyday at 6:00am and don't return until 4:30pm.

So now I am getting kind of cocky with the lady and I ask her if she really thinks my cats are smart enough to order movies, because they were the only ones home! After arguing for about 20 minutes with her she final tells me that she will refund the movies, but only as a courtesy!

Then I get my November bill. What do you know two more movies! This time one for $11.99 and one for $9.99. This time when I call they flat out refuse to do anything about it! So I told them to cancel my cable.

They said that because I signed a contract for a year that I would still owe the $29.95 for December and January!

Seriously, this is by far the worst company I have ever dealt with! I wish there was some way to prove my case in court or something! It's a lose lose situation! Come on now, who watches adult movies at 7:00am anyway? They could have at least made their lie somewhat believable!
