My boyfriend had Mediacom here in Albany,for 12 years we went through watching people talk and there lips not move.And poor service with phone and internet.I called and complained.This nice man said please dont give up on us,and offered me a plan for 98.00 a month.I told him i was going through cancer and it was hard on us to pay bills,and we did not like paying for something we were not getting.So he told me to take this plan for a year and see how it worked.Now this was in my boyfriends name,not mine,mine is no where on the contractThe guy said he made the change,but the bill was the same.So i called back,a lady there Trish,told me i was not allowed to make that decision,i was not on the account.So when my boyfriend got home,he callled them and told them to disconnect it all together.She told him that he would have to pay the early disconnect fee,100.00He told her that he had not made any changes,and that we had had this over 12 years so where was the early disconnect?Well they turned it over to a collection agency.Total bill,386.64They said that they could not disconnet it for 2 weeks so that why the bill was so high.In other words they wanted to get that other month in there.They dont think about when you pay,you are paying a month ahead.So we did nt really owe them anything,since they said i could not make the change,and the bill stayed the same. This company is way out of control.And it does not have good anything,service,or if something does mess up,in our case the men who came out here that worked with Mediacom said that the lines that were layed where we live were not strong enough for all the home out here,and that the lines need work.Try telling Mediacom that.
