Meet Market Adventures has a no refund policy. Funny thing, they canceled the last three activities I signed up for and because of the policy they refuse to refund my money. I have no faith that they will actually hold an event I can attend.

I had to cancel one event; I knew that would result in a credit verus refund. But because they keep canceling eveything I register for, they now owe me almost $400.

They are been investigated by the Better Business Bureau of Southern Alberta a couple of times for similar complaints. I have now filed a complaint as well.

We apologize that your experience with Meet Market Adventures has been a negative one due to events being cancelled. As it seems it just happened to be bad luck that several events were cancelled in a row. We truly hate when we are forced to cancel events. Unfortunately in event planning sometimes there are unforseen circumstances that cause us to cancel such as weather, double bookings, venue complications, staffing issues etc. 

That is why, like any company, there are policies and terms and conditions which we adhere to. These are stated clearly and upfront on our website as well as on the receipt confirmation one receives upon registering for events.

Please view our policy below:

Q. What if an event is cancelled due to circumstances ie. double booking, weather, venue issues?

A. All sales are final and no refunds will be given, no exceptions. If we cancel an event we will issue you an in house credit to your MMA account (in the amount that you paid) which can be used towards a future event. This credit is good for one year and can be redeemed online or by calling in to register.

Q. What if I need to cancel an event I have registered for?

A. All sales are final and no refunds will be issued. As per our Cancellation Policy we do require two weeks notice for cancellation of single day events and four weeks notice for overnight events. An in house credit will be issued for the full amount of the event which is valid for up to one full year and can be used toward any event(s) of your choice.

As you can see credits are good for an entire year and since we plan multiple events each week, which do take place, there is ample opportunities to use your credits. Even though there may have been complaints issued to the BBB regarding our companies policy, the BBB has not found our company to be fraudulent or a scam.

We value our members and so we would like to offer you the opportunity to join us once again by offering you a complimentary event on us. Only applicable for certain events. We hope to see you again. Have a good day.
