I booked a salsa course with Meet Market Adventures Ottawa in the end of may 2010, the day before the event they sent me an email saying that the course was canceled by the the location and we can choose a full refund or use this as credit towards any future events. I choose the second option use it as credit for an other event. Finaly at the end of june I find myself a boyfriend so i decided to send them an email for a refund and they refuse. Now I want it to be clear I'm not mad because they refuse to give me back the 20$ of the event but the reason why I'm mad is the reason why they don't want to refund or as they say they can't. This is the email they sent to me :

Meet Market Adventures Refund & Credit Policy

If you take a moment to view our Cancellation policy you will see why you were not issued a refund. The good news is that credits are good for an entire year and are transferrable. So in the case of you becoming involved in a relationship, which is great, you can give it as a gift to a friend.
Q. What if an event is cancelled due to circumstances ie. double booking, weather, venue issues?
A. All sales are final and no refunds will be given, no exceptions. If we cancel an event we will issue you an in house credit to your MMA account (in the amount that you paid) which can be used towards a future event. This credit is good for one year and can be redeemed online or by calling in to register.
All companies have policies, as so do we, which we adhere to. At the same time we do value our members and appreciate their feedback so we would like to offer you the opportunity to join us once again by offering you a complimentary event. Applicable to certain events. Like mentioned, this is transferrable, so you could give it as a gift. Have a great day!
