Search TipsFirst off you gave no details as to the type of battery and the price they charged or how you came up with it being a 250% mark-up.
Also, if these people were ignoring your requests to even get it looked at..why did you keep it there. After the first day you should have said..thanks but no thanks and taken it to another place. But when they finally did look at it you go from them saying it needing a new battery to even check out what needs to be done. To when they put it in the next thing they are doing is calling you to tell you to pick up your car and your husband has to rush down there on his lunch hour.
Seems like there are some very important details missing.
Also, as a side note I just find it amazing how many managers/employees always seem to "see the error in their ways" and all of the sudden want to find another job. But the manager you talked to goes one step further. He says he will freely admit that he overcharged you if anyone asks. I'd say if he is on the level then take Meineke to small claims court and use him as your "star witness". Please do come back and let us know his reaction when he is served with a subpoena and testifies on your behalf.
What kind of battery was it and how much did they charge? Did they install it?
Why was your car there so long?
