$149 For a Good Diesel Oil Change is FAR From A Ripoff

4 gallons Rotella Full Synthetic 15w40 costs approx $120
Oil filter with cap: $20
$120 + $20 = $140
The remaining $9? Should you not pay labor for someone to perform the work on your truck? Should they do it free of charge? Is this facility supposed to be a charity? If this is twice the amount you normally pay, then you are seriously short-skating your Cummins engine. The whole point in a $149 diesel oil change is that you only do it ONCE A YEAR and your engine is protected throughout the entire year.
When was the last time you replaced your inline fuel filters? Deisel owners who actually care about their trucks perform a full synthetic oil/filter change and dual inline fuel filter replacement once a year.
Waiting 4 hours is a serious exaggeration, and you know it. What tends to happen, is 15w40 full synthetic is ordered, but the parts people bring non-synthetic. That wouldn't take anywhere near 4 hours. People seem to pick the magic number 4 when they've had to wait a little over an hour for an oil change. I see it all the time. The guy may have raised his voice at you, because you probably yelled at him first. Why didn't you just take it to the "dodge house" for the oil change to begin with?
